    Description

    Signed prototype no. 4 of 7 of a completely new autoharp like musical instrument used by the artist/seller in design development. Artwork an integration of wood, paint, glass and holographic paper. Designed to be a beautiful sounding, easy to play functional instrument as well as to be hung on a wall as a unique, one of a kind, original piece of "musical folk art".
    Recommended for those with some playing experience.
    1 key playable at a time
    with mandolin tuners
    (the adjunct key is easily playable by re-tuning 2 strings). Many other keys playable dependent upon the position of the moveable bridge.
    User's Guide included.
    Overall dimensions: length = 32 in.; depth = 5 in.; width at top 11.5 in. and at the bottom 6.5 in. Wt. 4 lbs.
    Deep body and thin soundboard result in a resonate 6 string guitar like sound. Held upright, with chord bars pushed down at the end (similar to the old Oscar Schmidt 'Guitaro')
    , or on the lap as with a traditional autoharp, or slung with a strap over the shoulder like a guitar.
    { 'Ear'- idescent = a new word to describe a musical instrument specifically designed so that in the standard playing position one's ear comfortably rests against the sound body resulting in a truly ethereal sound sensation.}
    12 chord bars
    set up to play in the keys of C or G (re-tune 2 strings). Moveable bridge facilitates play in the keys of Bb or F,  D or A,  Eb or Bb, and E or B. Interchangeable chord guides are used to interpret the chords produced by the chord bars with the bridge in various playable key positions.
    The chords playable in the key of C bridge position for example are: Csus4, G7, Gsus4, G, Em, C, Am, Dm, F, Dm7 and Cj7. Re-tune 2 strings and the key of G chords become: Gj7, Gsus4, G, Em, C, Am, D, Bm, D7 and Cj7.
    With the bridge in the key of D position, the chords become: Dsus4
    , A7, Asus4, A, F#m, D, Bm, Em, G, Em7 and Dj7.
    Re-tune 2 strings and the key of A chords become: Aj7, Asus4, A, F#m, D, Bm, E, C#m, E7 and Dj7.
    14 common steel guitar strings ranging in size from 56 wound to 14 plain and tuning from g2 to e4.
