    Description

Offered is this business letter on "C. T. Kenyon" letterhead, a produce and fruit business (although poultry and eggs were a specialty) in Cripple Creek, Colorado.
    This is page two only
of a two-page correspondence so it is undated, but appears to be from the late 1800s-early 1900s, when the area was a gold boomtown. It has been signed by the owners typewritten, dated September 27, 1895, but is signed by Mr. Highbargin. The letter, written to a firm in Coffeyville, Kansas, concerns a lost order for poultry. There is a "Mercantile" watermark. This is an uncommon find, with few early Cripple Creek letters for sale on eBay.
The letter is approx. 8 7/8" x 8 1/2". It is in fair to good condition. There are some small holes, small edge tears and several creases, but the ink is dark and easily readable.
